FAQ
How long does it have to be cured?
LED lamp (30 sec- 60 sec), UV lamp (90 sec- 120 sec).
Compatible with “SUNUV SUN4 48W UV LED Nail Lamp”
Why is my rubber base still sticky after curing for the recommended time?
The sticky layer left on your rubber base after curing is meant to be wiped off. Simply use a lint-free wipe and some rubbing alcohol to remove it. However, there are a few other factors that could affect curing:
- Curing Time & Lamp: Ensure your lamp is compatible (Minimum of 36 W/350-405 Nanometers for best results). Make sure you’re using the correct curing time!
- Gel Thickness: If the rubber base was applied too thickly, it may not cure fully. Consider applying thinner layers and curing each layer separately.
In most cases, wiping off the sticky layer with alcohol should do the trick, but if the tackiness remains, double-check your curing time and curing lamp.
Can the rubber base be used as a base under gel polish?
Our rubber base is designed to be worn on its own, but you can easily add a gel polish color on top. That’s the beauty of rubber base — it works as a solid base layer, whether you choose to keep it as it is or add another gel color over it. Be sure to apply our “SHINE” top coat to complete and seal your manicure for a perfect finish!
Is a top coat necessary?
Yes, a top coat is essential! This is why we’ve designed the perfect, shiny, chip-resistant top coat to give your nails a flawless finish.
Is it recommended to apply thin or thick coats?
Rubber base is designed to build structure and add strength, so it can be applied in multiple thin coats for a smoother finish. However, you can definitely build and shape it with thicker beads for added structure.
